Baltfer is one of the largest recyclers of the scrap metal in Estonia. Most of the recycled material is being exported to Europe and Asia. Our main storage terminal from which we make main underlying material shipment, is situated in Muuga harbor, where we can receive and ship material via any type of transport (vessels with a capacity of 40-50 000 tons, railway wagons, marine and railway containers, and motor vehicles).
Using high-quality technologies and qualified staff in each stage of recycling, from collecting, treatment and sorting, up to the processing of steel scrap, we produce a secondary raw material exactly matching the needs of our customers. The steel scrap is processed by the most advanced equipment in such way that it meets the desired specifications of the steel industry.
Baltfer sees itself as supplier to the steel industry. Quality management and internal procedures guarantee optimal quality and price on a long-term basis.
These factors have made Baltfer the partner of choice for many customers.
The main range of recyclable materials are waste and scrap (including slice, chips, slag, etc.):
- waste and scrap of ferrous metals and steel;
- stainless and alloy steels;
- nickel-chromium alloys;
- non-ferrous metals and their alloys;
- any other metal-containing waste.
There are used certified scales of different capacity (rail, car and warehousing) when accepting the materials, depending on the volume of supply lot. Acceptance of goods is carried out by the qualified and experienced sorters, and if necessary, with the usage of analytical equipment.
Providing physical collections and transport systems as well as scheduled pick-ups are of course an essential part of Baltfer service capabilities.
